i made an OOP design of the game and then used the engine and c++ for the graphics part ,
actually it took me a hell of a time and effort to just link the engine as it was made primarily to be used with Python and its support for c++ wasn`t good.
The models of the game was taken from a gallery that i downloaded from the engine website and also a game that was made by mit students.
i recommend anyone who wants to use this engine to program in python not c++ because even i didn`t use collision detection functions supplied with the engine because of the lack of documentation for the c++ and also for my little experiment with code and games , but i managed to make a simple collision detection algorithm and use it.
Finally it`s a gr8 engine if u exploited its functions. Also i saw irrlicht and OGRE which i think is gr8 too .
hope this article help anyone wanna start game programming using game engines and waiting for ur comments and responses.
*I used a version of panda3d that is a year old from current date so they may have made enhancement to the documentation of c++. i hope so :)
